【意味・文型】
・～ということがあるが、反対に、それと同じ程度の･･･ということもある。➡①②③
・通常している・通常するはずの～をしないで、それと同じ程度の･･･をする。➡④
(On the one hand ～, but at the same time ･･･ ①② and ③, or “in return for.”
Also means refrain from an action that usually you would or should undertake,
and do something different but equivalent instead ④.)

【例文】
①フリーの仕事は自由な時間が多いかわりに、お金のことがいつも心配だ。
＞Freelance work gives me a lot of free time, but I always worry about the money.
＞Công việc tự do mang lại cho tôi nhiều thời gian rảnh rỗi, nhưng tôi luôn lo lắng về tiền bạc.
②会長の山田さんは、実行力があるかわりに、深く考えることはしない。
＞Mr. Yamada, the chairman of the board, instead of being a doer, does not think deeply.
＞Ông Yamada, chủ tịch hội đồng quản trị thay vì là người làm thì lại không suy nghĩ thấu đáo.
③リーさんに英語を教えてもらっているかわりに、リーさんの仕事を手伝っている。
＞Instead of being taught English by Mr. Lee, I am helping him with his work.
＞Thay vì được thầy Lee dạy tiếng Anh, tôi đang giúp đỡ anh ấy trong công việc của mình.
④今度の正月はいつものようにふるさとに帰るかわりに、両親と海外旅行をしたい。
＞This New Year’s Day, instead of going back to my hometown as usual, I want to travel abroad with my parents.
＞Tết Dương lịch này, thay vì về quê như mọi khi, tôi muốn cùng bố mẹ đi du lịch nước ngoài.
